Tazewell County Tire Collection

10/14/2025

Tazewell County is hosting a free tire collection at multiple locations throughout the county the week of October 13th-18th. Appointment is required to attend, and you may only sign up for one time slot per household. Residents can bring up to 12 tires (on the rim and any size) to one of thirteen convenient drop-off locations. This event is for residents only; tires from commercial entities will not be accepted. A government-issued ID is required to verify your appointment. This event is made possible through a partnership with local municipalities and the IEPA. Waste tires left outside can collect water, creating breeding grounds for mosquitoes. One scrap tire can lead to the breeding of thousands of mosquitoes over a single season. Removing these tires helps reduce the risk of mosquito-borne illnesses.

Thank You Letter - Neill Keneipp

6/19/2025

A heartfelt thank you to all who helped me celebrate my retirement as Minier Village President.  It was great to ‘talk over some old times’ with past board members, citizens, and friends.  It was an extreme pleasure to have served the community of Minier over the past several years.  Having a capable group of board members, support staff, and employees that are devoted to the village welfare made my role of Village President much easier.  Please give your support to the current members of the board, support staff, and village employees, as they help make Minier an even better place to live and raise a family.  On behalf of my wife, Nancy and our family thanks again for your support over these past several years.
